This collection consists primarily of correspondence with the general public by First Lady Betty Ford's East Wing staff. The material concerns views on public issues, expressions of support or criticism, holiday greetings, invitations, schedule requests, and plans, assistance requests and offers, and other matters.

A collection of briefing materials prepared for President Ford’s meetings with visiting heads of state and government officials. There were over 50 official visits, and the material covers a wide array of foreign policy topics. Also included are materials relating to more routine aspects of preparations for visits by foreign dignitaries.

Materials collected by the Saint Vincent College Center for Northern Appalachian Studies from crewman John Paul Priolette during oral history interviews conducted with men who had served in World War II on the U.S.S. Monterey. Included are a photocopy of Mr. Priolette’s personal war diary and fragmentary ship publications, such as newsletters edited by Lt. Gerald R. Ford, daily ship work schedules, memos issued by commanding officers, war news releases, and a ship anniversary celebration menu. Material compiled by NSC Staff Secretary Jeanne Davis in response to requests by congressional committees and presidential commissions for access to documents held by the NSC, CIA, Department of Defense, Department of State, and other agencies. The major focus is the 1975-1976 investigations of abuses by the intelligence community, but other series concern the Murphy Commission and the General Accounting Office investigation of the Mayaguez incident.Most of this collection is unprocessed and closed to research.
