This series consists of audio recordings of interviews conducted by journalist and author Trevor Armbrister. Over half of the recordings are of interviews between Armbrister and President Gerald R. Ford that contain discussions of his childhood, education, experiences in World War II, years in Congress, and his presidency. Armbrister also interviewed approximately 50 of Ford’s associates including family members, personal acquaintances from Grand Rapids, Congressional colleagues, and former Ford administration staff members. Among them are Betty Ford, Melvin Laird, Robert Griffin, Nelson Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Benton Becker, Philip Buchen, Richard Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Robert Hartmann.
