This series contains audio recordings of completed radio commercials for President Gerald Ford’s 1976 general election campaign, including spots that promote Ford’s accomplishments while in office and others that question Jimmy Carter’s qualifications to be President. The majority of the commercials have a “PFUS” number used to identify them and distinguish varying versions of similar radio spots. Speakers in the commercials include President Ford, unidentified individuals who participated in “man on the street” interviews, Joe Garagiola, Ronald Reagan, Michigan Governor William Milliken, Lionel Hampton, and Senator Strom Thurmond.
