This collection consists primarily of correspondence, memoranda, briefing material, quotes, newspaper articles, fact sheets, polling research, and newsletters related to the 1976 presidential campaign. Much of the material consists of letters from the public requesting information on President Gerald Ford's positions on issues, and the responses of the President Ford Committee Answer Desk to those letters. Also included is a series of Presidential Clemency Board reports documenting performance measurement and analyzing the process of deciding cases of individuals who applied for clemency.
