Shirley Peck-Barnes made this quilt from the scraps of clothing worn by the children from Operation Babylift. A message stitched into the quilt reads “Wrought with gratitude and affection for President Gerald R. Ford / Operation Babylift April 3, 1975.” Shirley Peck-Barnes was an Operation Babylift participant and author of The War Cradle.
