During the Ford presidency the White House Press Release Unit and the Press Secretary's office issued more than 10,000 press releases covering all aspects of the administration.  Included are such items as transcripts of speeches, briefings, and press conferences; schedules; biographies of White House staff and presidential appointees; proposed legislation; and press pool reports.

The Ford Presidential Library has begun the process of digitizing this vast resource in order to make this information more accessible and searchable. The scanning of this collection is made possible by the financial support of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation.
