Right-Handed Pitcher

W Johnson

Students of the game readily agree that the keys to winning in baseball are pitching and defense.  A great pitcher can tame the most potent of lineups keeping hitters off balance with an assortment of pitches or simply firing fastballs past the batters.

Most pitchers reflect the general population—they are right handed just like the batters they face.  Traditionally right hand hitters have a more difficult time with right hand pitchers, and the same can be said about left hand hitters against lefty pitchers.

The Best Right Hand Pitchers: Walter Johnson, Grover Cleveland Alexander, Cy Young, Roger Clemens, Nolan Ryan

The Best of the Rest: Christy Mathewson, Tom Seaver
