Play Ball, Mr. President!
Open House June 4, 2005

To mark the opening of the new exhibit, "Play Ball, Mr. President!" the
Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library in Ann Arbor will host an open house
on Saturday June 4, 2005 from 10 to 2. Visitors will have a
chance to talk baseball with former Detroit Tiger Don Lund and writer Joseph
McCauley author of the book, Ebbets Field: Brooklyn's Baseball Shrine.
There will also be refreshments and games for the kids, and a showing of
the Ronald Reagan and Doris Day film, The Winning Team, about St.
Louis Cardinal great Grover Cleveland Alexander.
The exhibit features photographs, documents, and artifacts showcasing the
relationship between the nation's Chief Executives and the nation's pastime.
Admission and parking for the exhibit is free.
The Ford Library is located in Ann Arbor, on the North Campus of
the University of Michigan (directions).
